Virgin PS4 setup

Have been experiencing issues playing online with my PS4, I believe this is due to ping time and not speeds. Although the speed isn't great, high 30s but not good enough for 500mb

The frame rates slow down dramatically, or the button pressed doesn't translate to the game.

The ps4 is upstairs and virgin hub downstairs.

Is drilling a hole in the roof up to the bedroom for an ethernet cable the best option to resolve this?

Any other suggestion to resolve this issue.

    Thanks.

Powerline adapters would be the best option to save drilling holes. Be sure to open all the correct ports for PSN, as well as setting a static IP by MAC on the Hub.

    TCP: 80, 443, 1935, 3478-3480
