    1) our water pressure for hot water has severely reduced over the last few weeks. This is particularly marked upstairs with it coming out as a tiny trickle.

    2) simultaneously (but I can't swear exact same time) our water pump, which makes tonnes of noise only when water is on (tap, shower, toilet flushing) is suddenly making this noise all the time, even when no water on. Pump is a good one and 1.5 years old.

    3) also simultaneously (but I can't swear at the exact same time) a company were digging up outside my house to lay cables for Eir. I don't know how the pipes and cables coexist, but we have previously had Irish Water working in the same space.

I have checked and there is no water running through the outside drainpipes when the tank is on if we haven't actively turned water on.

I honestly have no idea if 1,2,3 are connected, I just know they all happened within the same week (I didn't take notes if it all happened in the same day). We have two bathrooms upstairs with sinks and showers, and one loo with sink downstairs, and all seem fully off when the pump is making noise.
Any advice on things to start checking would be greatly appreciated.
Hot press has a number of red taps, and I have a new (1.5 years) inside a kitchen press.
