Politicians who I despise I despise for a reason and I can't come up with any redeeming quality.


There is one exception. Ian Paisley, a loathsome bigot and long may he rot but when questioned about Bernadette McAliskey getting pregnant out of wedlock he could have slammed her with shame and hate but instead simply said "Let those without sin on our souls cast the first stone."

Gerry Adams is very polite and down to earth in person, so is Joan Burton, and even though I loathe their politics, the Healy-Raes are proper gentlemen on the phone and in person. I used to work in the area of politics.
