    Hi everyone,

If I applied for job seekers how would this affect my wife's disability allowance. Citizens advice told me on the phone that she would get 203 Euro per week and I would only get 134 as a dependent?

I think this is incorrect as it states on there website that we would both get the full amount?

    Thanks,

    Peter

You both will receive €203 if neither of you have any other income.

It's a bit confusing on the citizens advice page isn't it?!

Here’s the bit from citizensinformation.ie that tells you:

If you or your spouse, civil partner or cohabitant qualifies for Disability Allowance and the other is getting another social welfare payment, you will each get the weekly personal rate of your respective payment.
