The Late Late Show line-up for Friday night has been revealed, with Munster rugby star Paul O'Connell, comedian Ricky Gervais and iconic Irish actor Colm Meaney, among the guests.

O'Connell is set to discuss homeschooling his children, taking time out, and why the charity Barnardos needs your help more that ever.

Meaney will talk about live away from home during the Covid-19 crisis, and playing the top gangster whose death sparks off a mafia war in his new series 'Gangs of London'.

The Chief Medical Officer, Tony Holohan will be live in studio with Ryan, giving viewers the most up to date information on what's been achieved so far and what lies ahead for us. Commending the country for their efforts towards flattening the curve, he will also tell of his own recent personal experience of the health service.

Ryan will also be catching up with Hollywood actor and comedian, Ricky Gervais, who will discuss his thoughts on the current restrictions and how America is responding to the crisis, while Samantha Power, former adviser to Barack Obamawill chat to Ryan from her home in the US about her experience of the pandemic.

Singer/Songwriter, Danny O'Reilly will join Ryan for a very special solo performance in studio. He will chat about his band's plans following the current pandemic, why The Coronas are planning to keep their name, and share his longstanding personal support for Barretstown Children's Charity.

'The Late Late Show', Friday at 9.35pm on RTÉ One.

I wonder will Colm be asked about Cheltenham going ahead (as he did the Paddy Power ad)

A fairly impressive cast for once, although the competitor in Tubs won't resist and one can have the satisfaction of watching him get thoroughly roasted by Gervais.

BOD was on the show a few weeks ago and POC is on tonight. I expect ROG to have his turn soon.

I don't like Ricky Gervis but like all the rest so a very good line up. One has to wonder do if we were not in a Pandemic would the guests for this weeks show have been mostly the same taking out Tony Holahan of course because we would not have been in a Pandemic.
I actually think Ryan Tubridy has changed after his brush with Covid-19. I thought on last weeks show he seemed more up beat and easy going less about asking about death and misery so hopefully he will be more like that from now on.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Ricky Gervais has said he's doing a lot more promotional work for his new series due to the fact he can do it from home. So he probably wouldn't have been there under normal circumstances, but I suppose the rest are plausible.

I hope you are all well and excellent, but I won't be joining you tonight on account of the Playstation I lockdown madnessed into my Amazon basket a couple of weeks ago and now feel obliged to play.

Plus Resident Evil 2 is amazing.

Evening all, I have to say I do like Paul O'Connell, looks like it could be a good show tonight. Tony Holohan must be shattered at this stage.

Wonder if there was any band in Africa called Ebola before it was a disease?

A listener to Ryan's radio show had a good idea...

Have old footage of audiences from past Late Late Shows, and intersperse it into tonight's show!

All that money, Ryan, and no way of spending it. Mesmerising, frustrating.

You can play RE7 without the PSVR headset. PSVR is cool though.

Where did he get this from, has he been practising in front of a mirror? Or maybe the help of a little nasal spray to clear the clogged sinuses?

    This is utter tosh.
He could get the few bits of actual new info out of his gob in less than 2 minutes.
Yet,. here he is with his nauseating brand of 'lift up' sh1te! It's anything but when he's delivering it.

    It's RELENTLESS!
