    Hi all,

    Saw this in the canal in Dublin 8. Large enough compared to what I normally see there.. Perch, rudd although I have seen large pike as well. This fish was a lovely dark green. I'm thinking tench but not sure if they populate the canal

    Never caught one, but there's a lot of them in the brick holes and quarry holes in Clare.

    Makes a change from using a 12 ft leeda float rod for mullet down the harbour which is fun.
    But I'd love to catch a tench or carp from a freshwater lake.

    Although the mullet are some sport...
