Sorry if it has been covered already but I can't find the answer for definite

Thinking about doing a mortgage break i have never done it before

Can you go through the process ?

Say if my repayments are 1000 a month and i have 20 years left

I will owe 3000 after 3 months so that will be divided into the remaining 240 payments ??

How does the interest work ? Will it effect my credit history if I take a break

    Thanks
