Ryanair - Flight changes

Due to fly out to Lanzarote with Ryanair in July, flights fully paid etc etc, have no expectation that these will actually happen & that I'll be chasing a refund or suchlike, however, received an email today about a time change for the outgoing flight from them and it has a 'click here to accept time change' within the mail itself, which is a link to a web page...
The thing is *( i'm sanity checking here due to cabin fever & stress!) does accepting a change of flight time now have any bearing on potential refunds in a cancellation scenario in 3 months? I cant see how it does, but with Ryanair being the sneaky fookers they are I cant help being sceptical!

And one last thing, when did they introduce the 'click here to accept change' function? I've had loads of these time changes over the years but never once was asked to confirm acceptance via a link to another ryanair webpage.
