Car alarm remote, hyundai i10

Help pls. Walking past my wifes car this morning, noticed rear door was not completely closed so I pushed it closed manually. Later, she went to open her car, and neither remote will respond to Unlock, or Lock, but red light flashes on both. Unlikely that both remotes have low battery simultaneously! I'm wary of using the key to open it, in case alarm goes off and remotes will not reset it. Any suggestions please?
    John.

Give it a try with the key. Turn key in ignition too.

Happens my i40 at times too.

When it does, I just press the handle to unlock the boot, and try again.

    Always works for me.

    Hope it helps.
