    Hi,

I'm just gathering information at the moment.

I'm from Pakistan working as an RF Engineer currently on Stamp 1G, the company intends to sponsor me. I intend to marry a woman from the UK who is a student there who has a brother working in Ireland (also from Pakistan). The marriage will take place in Ireland and I'm aware of the civil, religious and secular marriage types, I'm going for the religious.

I just wanted to have some feedback (from anyone's experience) of what possible complications could arise in this scenario, I'm not taking about the girl might not get visit visa issued in time etc, I'm talking from a legal angle such as convenience marriage etc. I understand in my case its not a convenience marriage as neither the girl nor me are EU passport holders.

Also I wanted to know if a Pre-nuptial Agreement exists in Ireland as I read it does not.

    Thanks a lot.

The registry office will interview you to ensure its a real and subsisting relationship.

Theres no pre nups in ireland. Why dont you get married in the UK?

    Thanks for replying..

When you say interview, you mean both me and the woman ?

I'm working here, and the company does not give more than 3 days leave for marriage, plus the fact that I'm on Stamp 1G I'm afraid my UK application could get rejected. I do have plans for this once my company has sponsored me in about 2 months time.

    Thanks.

Why do you mention her brother is working in Ireland?
