I am looking for some advice, Now i have a bit of time on my hands i am looking to get a remove a mound in my grass flatten a portion of the garden. Is it just a case of lifting the sod and removing about 300mm of soil and laying the sod back down. OR is there a something else i need to do?.
    Thanks

That's it, unless you uncover something under there to explain the mound. Like a tree stump, rocky outcrop, hidden body!

Water the sod after you lay it back down.

    ¡arriba, arriba! ¡andale, andale!

That's it exactly. I did something similar about 20 years ago. Oddly satisfying.

    And yes, water week afterwards!
