50 or 55 inch with Freesat and Saorview

Hi, looking to replace a Samsung 55 inch wall mounted set. We are using it to watch Freesat and Saorview without any additional boxes and also have a hard drive attached for recording. Got an LG from you guys about two years ago for a different room and find the software a bit buggy. TV frequently resets and recording using a hard drive is a disaster. Thinking I'd prefer a Samsung again. Any suggestions? Would need a bracket too.

The lower model QLEDs will also suit but at the moment they are all out of stock and have already started to be replaced by the 2020 models which are all far more expensive.

Hi, 

I've had a look and I am going to go with a 50 inch LED set. I'm thinking the Samsung UE50RU7400 looks good and seems to support Freesat and Saorview?

I see a number of sets that size around a similar price point. Would you recomend the UE50RU7400 or would any of the below be as good or better for me? I'm not clear on the differences.

The 50RU7400 is a nice set for the money but it is at the moment totally out of stock for shipping.

You could look at the LG 50UM7500 priced up at £449. Its a little more expensive but worth the extra in my opinion.
It has both Saorview and Freesat tuners built in.

Thanks Kenny. I'm reluctant to go with an LG. I got a 43 inch one from you guys last year and while it has a lovely picture, the software is not good. It frequently re-starts and the recording via external HD rarely works. 

Any other suggestions?

The Philips 50PUS7394 would be a good purchase for picture quality and uses an Android operating system giving better smart features.
It also use micro dimming and has the higher processing power. Having the Ambi Light is also a really nice touch. (It can be turned off).
