Calf Registration

    Someone may be able to help. I'm trying to register a calf from a heifer that i bought incalf. I know the calf's sire tag as it was a stock bull but it wont let me save it as a LM with the tag number. It keeps defaulting as a LMX. Anyone know how to get around this? The bull is on the ICBF as LM

    It will always default to a LMX if that's what's on the bulls card. Some PB limos have LMX on them.
    Ours do for example, despite having a cert & being 100% LM. To get it changed requires filling in a form & sending it away & I'm just not arsed :pac:

    I've noticed that both options appear, LM and LMX - have another look, as this is what I have noticed happening.

    That's what's happening. Put it through as LMX. Abit annoying that tbh

    If the heifer is of a different breed than the Pure bred LM sire then the calf will be registered as LMX
    The calf will also be registered as LMX if its mother is a Limousin but is registered as LMX.
    If either of these scenarios apply. I think there is little you can do to change it.
