Filing dividends on MyAccount and ROS registration for CGT

    Hey people,

I hope I'm in the right spot here. I tried posting my questions on r/irishpersonalfinance and was told to go here and see if I can get an answer. As such I will just repost my post from there if you don't mind. I have searched the boards for my questions but it seems that it's not a common problem. If these questions have been asked before I am sorry.

So, I moved to Ireland from Germany in November 2019. I started investing in UCITS ETFs in Germany around 3 years ago. From what I read any capital gains from ETFs incl dividends have to be reported to Revenue. While I don't like it, I want to adhere to the law. This is where my first problem starts.

On the tax returns forms I only see Irish dividends, UK dividends, US dividends and Canadian dividends. Would I put EU dividends under foreign income "Foreign Non-Deposit Int/Annuit/Royalt/Divs"?

Now I have also read about exit tax, deemed disposal and ETFs. From the information I found at Revenue.ie I would need to file a form 11 to declare all my ETF purchases and sales during the year. For that I would need to register for ROS with the CGT reason BUT when I go to Tax Registrations on MyAccount I can only register for Income Tax and then they are asking me for my business which I don't have. Any idea how I can register for CGT?

And my last question, how does deemed disposal work if I buy ETFs monthly? I mean, it takes into account the gains accrued during an 8 year period but since the shares are bought at different times and different costs the gains vary from month to month as well. Even with FIFO declaring those by self-assessment will be tricky. Since I have a full history of my purchases available it would be doable but hell to do the math.

I hope somebody has some answers to questions and thank you in advance.

Thanks for reading and looking forwards to any answers :)
