From the time ( day ) you passed the speed van, and got caught, how long does it take before the penalty points notification arrives in the letterbox?

    About 4 to 8 weeks.

Yeah it can be 4 to 8 weeks until the notification arrives. And then it can be another few weeks before the penalty points actually kick in.

Thanks. So I have to suffer on for awhile then before I know my fate .... was slowing down when I realized I was over the 100 mark, was on 107, and dropping when I copped the van, so it will be touch and go. I know that the car speedo always read's a few Klms over the actual speed, but I was taking the speed from the sat-nav, and that gives a true reading. Time will tell, could be lucky,,,if I do get them, they will be my fist,
Anyway, that's life, could be worse.:)

No, down the country, main Waterford Limerick road, just outside Limerick City.

Ah OK, first time I've come across a van on m50 in rush hour. All I was thinking was suddenly country needs a bucket load of money and suddenly this appears. Maybe a coincidence.

No, this was not a motorway, and it's a well known location for speed vans to hang out on. Its also on a straight stretch after a shallow bend...between 90 and 100 Kph would be my normal speed ( according to the dash speedo, which shows a slightly higher speed then the actual one ) Just drifted slightly over, and was in fact slowing down when I saw the van. Ah well....could be worse !!!
But you are not far wrong about the bucket load of money......and it's going to have to be a big bucket.....
