If the virus starts to cause huge numbers of deaths in the United States and his popularity takes a battering, is there a possibility he might use the virus to pass some kind of emergency war time legislation to stay in power (similar to what FDR…

This is just pure speculation obviously, but I don't think it is out of the question. If Trump calls the virus a hoax his supporters believe him, if he then tells them he knew it was gonna be a pandemic before anybody else they believe him. It seems to me they will believe just about anything he tells them (I am aware that a huge % of Americans see him for what he is but the fact remains).
