Never lived in conna but my work took me there daily one time. As you know there is very little in the village other than the small shop on the corner, church and community centre. Can’t remember if there’s a pub but Tallow isn’t very far away nor is curraglass where there’s a petrol station or aghern with just a solitary pub. The estate in question is very nice, any dealings I’ve had with people there have been positive and it is well managed, kids never present an issue either, Locals are very proud of their locality. The downside can be the terrible roads into Fermoy and Rathcormac, again this is a council related issue.

Did you end up making the move? Conna seems a nice spot, often driven through it, nice "feel" about the place and not terribly far from the City either, although the road connecting it to Rathcormac and onto the M8 could certainly be improved.

We are going to sit tight for the minute as we may not get the price we were previously offered on our own but they will be starting construction on the new phase in 6 months so we may well proceed then. Houses seem well built and nice green areas in the estate.

My buddy lives up the road (3/4 miles) he loves it but it's in the middle of nowhere, not for me or anyone with a family,it'll be constant driving

Did you end up making the move? My girlfriend and I have actually being dealing with the developer for this and these are probably in our top 3 houses that we might go for. We're still waiting to view some other houses and haven't made any move on these yet, but I would love to hear your experiences so far if you bought one of these.

    Thanks

    Hi dav,

We actually decided not to go ahead, we are currently looking fro somwthing a little closer to cork. I have to say I found both the builder and auctioneer Kieran O Brien very friendly and accommodating to deal with

Thanks for responding. Yes we’ve been dealing with Kieran also and so far been happy enough with him. Although the house we were considering going for in this phase have been picked up already. There’s still 2 houses left in the current phase but now we’re thinking of hanging on for the next phase. They’re all fine houses though. Haven’t seen anything on the market that comes close to their size at that price range.

Best of luck in your house search.
