    Hey boards,

MIL asked me to pick out a phone for her and after an evening of research the general consensus on boards for a mid-range phone seems to be:
    • Google Pixel 3A (€180 - Vodafone.ie)
    • Xiaomi Mi 9T (€270 - Amazon.es)
    • Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T (€170 - Amazon.es)

She currently has the Moto Style X and I think the Pixel 3A seems closest to that in terms of experience, form factor, etc..

Her daughter has the Pocophone F1 so MIUI likely not an issue; Worst case at least her daughter can show her the works.. She seems fine poking around and figuring out where things are anyway. I'm just a little concerned it might be too much of an adjustment.

    In terms of usage..

She likes the size of her current phone (5.6") because she can go reading on it. Because of that I'm thinking she might actually benefit from the larger screen in the Xiaomi offerings. I'll have to see what she thinks.

She's by no means an avid photographer, but she does enjoy the odd selfie or photos of the dog when she's being extra adorable. All three options seem to cover the bases there though.

All things considered, I'm questioning if the extra €100 for the 9T is really worth it over the 8T. That would mean it really comes down to the screen size + MIUI vs the Pixel..

    Any thoughts appreciated :)
