a good question, not 100% sure but i would imagine that you would need a modified steering wheel ( add a knob to allow one handed steering ) as well as the automatic gears and your license would need marking to show that you were only permitted to drive such modified vehicles. I would have thought it was just a case of doctors certification and applying to NDLS but could be more involved

You would need to do a test with the wheelchair association of Ireland. They basically take you on the road with whatever adaptations are needed and as far as I know give you a form to bring to your doctor and ndls.

So it's not a full blown rsa test then?

You wouldn't be re examined on mirrors observation, etc ?

No, it will be a test to make sure that you are able to use the adaptations safely and to see how you are with them on the road.
