So come back to Ireland from an infected area & potentially give us the Virus too. They should be told to stay there.

Almost as stupid a move as opening yet another corona thread.

Quarantine? Self-isolation? You needn't bother coming back if you're not prepared to do 14 days sequestered from the populace. Already have had a carefree clown in Clare take far too many liberties, with damaging results.

If they are not going to ban flights from infected areas. They should at least give people masks on these flights. They should be told to wear them at home too. It might help them protect their families. And masks tend to stop people touching their faces.

The masks are supposed to help YOU stop spreading YOUR germs. They have proven useful in Asian countries for years to stop family members spreading germs to their children or other family members because people have to live in such proximity together.

If you are coming from an infected area ...and you are not sick ..wear a mask. It will protect others somewhat if you have it. And maybe even your family. It will also encourage you to not touch your face with your hands so much.

I hope people coming from these areas are encouraged to wear masks. And at home too. They should be giving them out at airports.
