EWI beyond soffit

    I have a bungalow which has EWI that stops at the soffit. This is about a foot lower than the ceiling inside the house so it's a major cold bridge.

    I presume the previous owner got a grant to get it installed. Does that mean that I cannot avail of the grant on the same property to fix this?

    Any idea of the cost to get it corrected? About 90 sq m.

    No grant.
    The reason it is not done is that it difficult to get right so costly.
    .
    It needs to tie in with the ceiling insulation and you need to consider ventilation baffles:
    used google advanced search on boards.ie to look for previous threads.
    The only way it can be done properly is from outside, strip off maybe a meter of slates etc.
    . so if its a two storey will need scaffolding.. $$
