what situations do you not need to pay inheritance tax on farm land/property?

    One way I know of is a green cert course for farmers to transfer the farm without any tax being paid on the acquisition, is there other ways to avoid having to payinheritance tax other than by doing this course or is that the only way?

    There are several conditions in relation to Agricultural Relief. You can read more in the following links
    If you are only asking in relation to the specific agricultural qualifications that would enable you to avail of the relief, the list appears in Schedule 2 Stamp Duty Consolidation Act, and there are quite a few that would help you to get the relief.

    For some reason the Revenue Manual for the relief mentions more schedules in the SDCA 1999 I cannot find in a quick search. My guess is that there has been amendments to it and the manual is still keeping old references, maybe someone might help with that.
