Why are there always 3 iRadio’s listed on my car radio. The radio has a favourited and a list section. The list section has all of the available stations in range and changes constantly as I drive round. There are one of each station listed even the ones I can get on multiple frequencies like RTÉ etc. It’s always 2 or 3 iRadios though.

There’s still the i102-104 and i105-107 split region in place as far as I know. So it will show up as two different stations with the same name.

There’s then a transmitter on 104.7 from Saggart which seems to be configured differently again to the rest with drastically different, awful sounding audio compared to any other transmitter I’ve heard.
Been like this for well over a year so if its a fault it seems no-one is monitoring their network!

Stations are likely using different RDS PI codes in their RDS, so even though the RDS name is the same - the car radio shows them as different stations. This would be correct if the broadcasts are different (regional ads etc.).

Nice to see improved coverage from IRadio on 105.0 in North Donegal. I assume they have taken over the old ICR Radio transmitter.

it seems the PI code on Iradio's Cavan transmitter on 104.8 now carries the NW franchise's PI code (23E2) instead of the North East and Midland's PI code of 23E3 -I don't know how long this has been the case - but it's certainly the case now - and its certainly WRONG

Perhaps someone reading this could correct matters !
