Choosing a first car

Hi all, passed my driving test last week so I’m finally looking for my first car!
My max budget is 10000 and id rather get as far up in the years as I can, while keeping to budget.
Looking for a 1.2 to a 1.4 engine.
At the minute I’m looking at two 1.25 141 Ford Fiestas and a 1.4 161 Opel corsa. Also open to VW polos!
Anyone have any advice, as struggling to choose...

If your looking at Polos then the Seat Ibiza is worth checking out too as it's mechanically the same car but tend to be cheaper to buy:

If you are going for the The fiesta 1.25 , it comes in 2 versions , 60ps and 85ps , the 85ps is the one to go for IMO. One other thing is to make sure you get insurance quotes before you commit.
