Illness Benefit - Does Dept inform Revenue in Advance?

    Hi all,

    Hoping you can help.

I'm currently absent from work following a work related injury. My illness benefit is paid directly to my employer and they in kind pay me.

I logged onto my revenue account to see that there's approximately €2300 illness benefit as an additional non paye income for 2020 so far. This works out as €328 a week since the beginning of January! I'm only getting the standard rate of €203!

Does the dept of Social Protection declare this sum to revenue in advance or pay out in bulk as I'm on monthly certificates?

The sum they declared for my absense during late 2019 (same incident, happened in September) is correct.

Is this normal or has someone made a booboo?

My credits have had a huge adjustment as a result.

Thanks again for your help as always.
