If you are both still working the same as last year then I'd expect no change. On the employer details where they show the allocation of credits and rate bands to each employer what is shown there under rate bands ?

It’s now zero for her and it’s 44300 for me..I rang revenue today but was an hour on the phone with no reply

Just to be clear you were both working last year, are both working this year and there has been no change in the respective amounts of earnings or no claim for home carer tax credit ?

    No no change in anything

It does not seem right and if your wife has a nil standard rate band then her tax will increase significantly. I’m afraid you’re going to need to try and contact them again. You could try this through My Enquiries on ROS but that can take weeks for an answer. The best thing is to phone again.

Is the Home Carers Tax Credit on your tax credit certificate?
If this went on at the start of January it removes the 26,300 rateband, and increases your tax credits.
