    Hi,
My wife was recently was out on illness benefit while pregnant towards end of pregnancy. She is now on maternity benefit.

I received an amended tax credit cert today from Revenue, see attached (I did not request a review, seems they automatically do it?)

I see her weekly rate band is only 57.77! Is this just for the duration of her maternity leave?
It looks like maybe mine went up, I'm not sure.

Does this reset itself when she goes back to work? Obviously higher tax kicking after 250 earned per month isn't going to go down well!

All help or comments very welcome.

Seems I can't add a picture. I'll upload to a host site, and since I can't post links yet, I'll leave gaps in url below.. sorry for inconvenience.

Taxable payments from DEASP are taxed by way of reduction of your credits and bands accordingly.

Thanks. So does this mean when maternity leave is finished that it will be amended again?

Yes, when the maternity benefit claim is closed, the DSP will notify Revenue, and you will receive another amended tax credit certificate.
