3 months awaiting job transfer

My job transfer was approved and confirmed at the start of Decemeber.
It's been nearly three months and the manager now seems hesitant and is saying "we cant find relief cover for your position" which I know myself is BS as I have put friends of mine forward for the job.
I have asked for a contract for the site I'm being transferred to and his reply was "we dont do contracts specific to locations".
Have I got any leg to stand on or to just wait it out ?
I'm afraid if I wait it out my position will be filled.

You don't get to choose who gets the job.

You cannot force them to do anything, so you have to wait, or quit.

Maybe I'm reading into your post too much, but you're coming across as a difficult employee.

Just because you think a friend is suitable for the job does not mean that they are.... it is up to the manager to decide.

Maybe I'm appearing as difficult but wouldn't you be a little difficult if your wages were cut by €5 per hour for something that was not your fault ?
My old supervisor presumed I had the new job so marked me off the roster. I was three weeks without any shifts or wages or basically a job and fell very behind on my rent so I apologise if I'm coming across difficult I'm just really pissed off

Your new department or area Manager needs to be moving this along. If we have someone transferring from another area we make sure they move within a reasonable amount of time and that goes both ways - 3 months is not a reasonable amount of time unless you are indispensable!.

    WTF.

    You work with clowns.

Can you get a new job?

    Clowns would be a compliment.

I could easily get another job as I have a good 6 years experience + 2 years of college behind me.

I'm holding out because the rate ph for this new job was not something I could walk away from. Its extremely rare in this sector to have a job like that pop up but if all comes to all I will end up leaving
