Honda Civic engine oil

I bought a 2004 1.4 petrol Honda Civic (130k miles on the clock) a few weeks ago. I'm hoping to do the next oil change myself. On the manual, it doesn't specify exactly which oil to use, it seems like anything from 0W-20 to 15W-40 will be sufficient according to the chart (see attached image).

Having done some research online, I have seen people recommend a thicker oil for older engines, others say it doesn't matter? I've gone on various oil websites and motor factors and get lots of different recommendations, 5w-30 seems to be quite a popular one though. I'm just wondering what the experts here would recommend and the reason why?, thanks!

5w30 fully synthetic will be just fine. It’s not too thin and not too thick.

    That's great, thank you!
