Driver's licence

I passed my driving test in 1986. That meant i was qualified for, car, van, up to 7.5T and mini bus up to 18 seats. Somewhere, in a renewal, about 15-20 years ago, the minibus classification was removed from my license. I still have the 7.5T classification and have passed the medical.
What i want to find out is, can i have the minibus classification, Class D added back to my license? without having to do a test and load of lessons. It seems bizarre i might have to, as the 7 tonne truck i drive is considerably bigger than the minibus i was considering driving. Any advice welcomed

It's more to do with carrying multiple passengers than size which is why you can drive a truck at 18 but must be 21 to drive a bus.

Sorry I can't answer your main question.

As it is over 10 years you must start from scratch like anyone else today, pain the the arse 100%

What you have is a C1 licence still? And formerly a D1! These are sub categories of the main category, due example if you want C you need a rest etc for that also

Bus and truck are completely different vehicles requiring different skills. Having one doesn’t give an entitlement to the other.
