Beforeigners (HBO Nordic)

Out next Tuesday (18th) on HBO in the States, it has already aired on HBO Nordic. Has anyone seen it? Love the idea.
A new phenomenon starts happening all over the world. Powerful flashes of light occur in the ocean, and people from the past appear from three time periods; the stone age, the Viking age, and the late 1800s. No one understands how this is possible, and the people from the past, called 'beforeigners,' have no memory of what’s transpired. A couple of years later, Alfhildr (Krista Kosonen) – who comes from the Viking Age – is teamed up with burned-out police officer Lars Haaland (Nicolai Cleve Broch) as part of the police department’s integration program. While investigating the murder of a woman with Stone Age tattoos, Lars and Alfhildr make unexpected discoveries.

Seems like a peculiar police/outlander mash up.

People from different historic periods are appearing in modern-day Norway and it's causing social strife. Neanderthals, Vikings, and Bohemians struggling to integrate and not receiving a warm welcome. Police drama with sci-fi twist that is a whole lot of fun!

finally finished watching this, I thought it was good but it was too squished, its should have been 8 eps instead of 6, at one point they find a place theyre looking for by randomly walking past it, and then the revelations at the end were rushed.

Loved it, it was on Polish HBO and I found the idea of multi-periodic (is that a word?) society interesting and amusing. Looking forward to season 2, no info about it yet on HBO though :(
