Ive always preferred 2 door cars.I currently have a beautiful RCZ and was thinking about an Mx5 RF as my next car summer 2021.
Small spanner in the works now as looks like we'll be having a baby later this year and we're
both over the moon of course!
Hence the thread, what nice looking, sporty yet practical options do i have?
Even with an unlimited budget i can't think of a saloon i like the look of (well not many!)
Realistically budget will be about 15-20k.
5 series look ok but nothing special, ditto A4,A6
Jaguar xf probably a front runner at this stage
    Any help great appreciated!

    A7?

20k would get you into a 141-ish. Looked at them myself before. Beautiful car, good engine choice. The 3.0l 262BHP (or is it 282?) is fantastic to drive.

It’s a car of the future for me.

Alternatively, a 640d would be a good fit. I think they have 3l with about 240bhp odd.

Taking one for a spin myself on Friday so will report back

Over budget now, but if you can hold on until the end of the year / next year, there might be some around the 20k marker:

It's pretty much the only car in the market segment that responds to these criteria. Yet, I am told the sprog won't wait to pop out until you find a car...so you'll probably need to look elsewhere :D:P

thanks for wasting my time; after looking at your post it cost me >30 mins on Autotrader looking at Giulias.

Hello OP - best of luck with your hunt..

The XF are a great looking car imo - but drive one first.

If you like the coupe shape then 4 series might be a runner?

Well it's the Alfa bug Tazio - didn't you use to drive a really scary, really fast red one, sometimes using a wrench instead of a steering wheel? You should know :D

    Thanks for the replies.
The Alfa is a great option, exactly he reason I started the thread! something a bit leftfield, probably stretching the budget a bit too far though.
The mrs wanted an XF for herself a while back as she had Jags in the past.I test drove one and agreed a price then went home to do a Cartell and thank feic i did! its amazing what people think they can get away with, red flags all over the shop! I'd say an XF is still the front runner for us.
I didnt consider an SUV or crossover as generally i think they're horrible.I know ill be laughed out of it on here but I do like the look of the Countryman (I used to have a Cooper before and have a soft spot for Minis) so that might be an option.

    Ms

I know way over budget and its only just out but the new BMW 2 series Grand Coupe is nice.

Or you could stick with Peugeot and get a 508 which is stunning looking in Red or Blue. They are out a year now so maybe you could get one in budget.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.
