    Hi,
I have some celing lights installed on the living room. I got LED GU10 5W dimmable bulbs.
The room lighting is split in 2. 1 half has 6 fitting, so 6 bulbs/ and the other half has 4 bulbs. Each half has its own gang on a standard light switch.

So.. i want to go fancy and get the room dimmable. So I though it was just replace the switch... lol... begginner...

I got a regular 2 gang switch. This works bit when the dim if low or off I can see still some light in some of the bulbs.
I got a second switch ...online.. supose to be compatible with LED bulbs. But similar issue and also noticed a buzz noise coming out of some of the bulbs when the dim was low...

Im doing something wrong or not understand what is the right receipt here...

Or..do you think this is jot something i should look into and should a call to eletrician?

    Thanks

Usually you get buzzing and flickering at low when using non-dimmable bulbs with a dimmer switch. Are you certain they are dimmable type you bought?

Dimmable LEDs are still a bit of a dark art imo.
I've got varilight ones in my own sitting room.
The ones I have can be dimmed via any IR remote so that's a nice bonus.
You need a neutral at the switch too.
They are physically deep so keep that in mind.

Ok. Can you share the brand and model of your LED? Or any other elements you have on your system?

I am just a bit tired of looking at this and just to get something that works... I can share moee details on all the elements i have if this helps.

I'd be looking at the dimmer switch rather than the LEDs.

+1 the dimmer for LED lights is different from the halogen Dimmer
Dimmable LED bulbs are one thing, and an LED compatible Dimmer is another thing.

I have Philips Master LED GU10 dimmable LEDs and Varilight V-Pro Series trailing-edge dimmers bought from Amazon. They work perfectly. I did some research at the time and there seemed to be an issue with whether the dimmer was a trailing-edge or leading-edge type, which is why I went with that particular one.

The varilight can be switched from leading to trailing (the ones I have anyway) .
I have 2 way switching in my own sitting room.
    Dimmer on each end.button type.
Needed a neutral at both switches ,a pair of strappers and another interconnect wire .

Thanks Graham. Is there any indication which dimmer I should look to buy? The homedepots are not great at giving help on these things..
