    Hi,

I have to refill the adblue for the first time. I have noticed that Halfords does 10l x EUR13. I could not get to one today so tried a few petrol stations and the cheapest 10l was for EUR18l, with Applegreen in Booterston pricing it at a staggering EUR30l :O

I think I will get the one from Halfords tomorrow...how much do you guys pay? Is there any Adblue pump for cars in Dublin that may be cheaper?

    Thanks

Not sure about cheaper but if you like having paint on your car, the Circle K at the City North Hotel has it at the pump that has a nice rubber shroud around it.

Not a hope there’s a Top Oil station in all the places listed at the bottom of that page.

Yeah, forecourt bottles of adblue can be insanely **** value for money. You'd want to be paying less than €1 per litre to consider it good value.

Mrs Echo has a car that needs adblue. I picked up a few bottles in Aldi, when they were going cheap (€4 or €5 for 5L, in clearance section)

But when they're gone, I'll be using a pump at a petrol station, far cheaper and easier

Thanks - I ended up getting it in Halfords as I did not have much time to do the research. The process was fairly simple, no spills luckily.

Can it damage the paint?, as I think the other half spilled some on her 191 car the other day.

I always heard it did anyway. Even the dealer told me not to get it on the paint.

They say it does damage paint. Personally I've never seen it though, it wipes off easy when it's still wet and you'd spot it easy if it was dried in because it looks frosted/ crystallised.

Apparently it can eat paint and eventually metal, when it crystallizes on the surface

.Although safe to handle and non-toxic, AdBlue can eat through some metals.

While you're waiting to wash it , slosh a couple of kettles of water on the splashed area ,just to rinse it off
