Can anyone please recommend a good spot to go on holidays anywhere in greece? Both Mid 30's, looking for somewhere with great beaches and a good lively spot at night with plenty of restaurants and bars, cheers

Greece is a lovely place for travellers. If you are an explorer and like to know about history and beauty of nature then you should visit the following:

Delphi: It is heaven for archaeologists and yes, famous because of the Temple of Apollo and Athenian Treasury.

Cape Sounion: If you want to enjoy water sports and click good photos at the temple of Poseidon then you should go there.

Crete & Athens: For social gathers, bars and live nights these metropolitan cities of Greece are the best.

Sounds like you'd like one of the resorts, beaches, loads of bars & restaurants with nightclubs also maybe.... endless choice on the Greek Islands..

Crete: Agios Nikolaos, Chania and Hersonissos.
    Corfu: Messonghi and Moraitika
    Zakynthos: Laganas
    Rhodes: Faliraki
    Kos: Kardamena

We stayed in Rethymnon in Greece last year and loved it - loads of restaurants and bars. A few clubs I think but a lot of the bars open late anyway. Went into Chania a few times also - again a lovely area with loads to do. Beaches are lovely but buy water shoes - the first couple of feet into the water are usually rocky.

We are going again towards the end of the year.
