Spotted it immediately. Along with posters who have the worst spelling/grammar and they're usually the ones who start threads.

"Deal breakers and turn-off's in dating" is quite the eyesore.

Continued use of the same mistake I would take as ignorance.

Mistakes are not proof of ignorance.

In the cases of 'there, their, they're' and 'your and you're' they usually are.

I had to proofread a colleague's email recently and she had used your instead of you're. When I pointed it out she still hadn't realised her misspelling.

I have forensically gone through both of these posts looking for grammatical errors but found none. I am profoundly disappointed to not be able to point out errors in your post criticising errors.

    Heidegger is very overrated.

As soon as I saw the thread title I thought, "time for a joke about Heidegger".

Partially sad someone got there first.

Heidegger walks into the train station late at night and asks for a ticket. The attendant says, "Sorry, sir, the last train left five minutes ago." Heidegger looks at his watch and says "Damn it, I hate not Being on Time."

This is the kind of mistake a person learning English as a second language would never make, and they'd genuinely wonder how anyone could.

I’ve seen people online justify writing “should of” or “could of” because they say that’s what it sounds like in their regional accent. What has that got to do with the written word?

I found myself typing a reply questioning that post and realising it was wrong typing 'of' instead of 'have' :(

But you realised! And corrected. I often write initially write ‘lose’ instead of ‘loose’ and vice versa. These people stood by the mistake.
