Airtightness Tape

Hi,
We specced Siga airtightness tape in our building spec. I notice the builder started using a german tape called Gerbrand is probably cheaper. I notice that it isn't brilliantly adhered to the gyproc airtightness plaster, so this may be where the difference is. Im not sure how better or worse other rapes adhere to the plaster. In terms of choosing ones battles, is there an appreciable difference in quality? Ie. Worth insisting he changes to Siga as we specced?

was the plaster primed?
does it have the necessary certs for use in Ireland?

It appears to be Irish made, so I expect (or hope at least!) it is certified etc... It is to be slabbed over and then skimmed.

I'm not a builder by any means and I'm just trying my best to check up if things are being done properly, - but I would bet it wasn't primed. I will ask...
Is this standard practice? - I presume the priming would just be needed around where the tape will be placed?

I see your doc is from for the same Gerbrand brand of airtightness products, - do these have a reasonable/decent reputation?

Gerbrand would be well known in the trade.
I used it in my own house.

Most like your spec states siga or similar approved product.

Yes.
If properly done, if you try to remove them, the tapes should separate , leaving the adhesive layer

What would be the best tape for window reveals to plaster/masonary?
The tape they are using is is Gerbrand 586, which seems to me a membrane tape, but also general purpose. They put down a primer now and a blue tacky adhesive along the edge of the tape. It seems to be adhered well in places and seems a bit loose in other places.
Does this sound right?
