Commonly touted as a hangover food, this breakfast item is very divisive. People generally love them or hate them in my experience. Where do you stand on them? Do you prefer them crispy as f*ck or a little runny? Maybe you despise them.

I think they’re manna from the Gods myself and have been lying on my rotund arse debating whether or not to go and get one.

As long as they are cheese and ham and aren’t really dried out they’re good.

Not too crispy just flaky and not sitting there hours. The cook at home ones are the way to go exactly the same but cooked how you like and not sitting there all day

I seen some anchor get one of those yokes on a chicken fillet roll.

As they say on Dragons Den, on that basis,... I'm out.

Nothing worse than a dried out Jambon, but a fresh one with is like heaven in my mouth :p

They sell raw frozen ones locally and they are even nicer baked to perfection at home. Rather than the ones laying in a hot counter.

Hmm, I dunno. Only had one once and I'd have to give them a second chance.

The one time I had one, I actually wanted a hotdog lattice but didn't know it was called that. Looked at the menu, saw 'jambon' and asked for that and got a jambon. It could have been delicious but it wasn't what I wanted so I half-ate it and threw the rest away in disgust.

You was robbed - a hotdog lattice is the platonic ideal, the jambon's just the shadow on the wall. :p

What a wonderfully constructed sentence that is. I aspire to intelligence like that. :)

Love them. Especially a bit gooey in the middle and not too crispy

Can’t bate a steamy jambonian on a cold walk to work/college. Never led me astray.

Is this the new "Avocado on toast" that the young people will piss their money away on and then moan they can't afford to buy a house ?

I've just added anchor to my vocab, thank you.

For me, jambons are a symbol of when I'm off the wagon.

Kebab the night before, jambon the morning after.

Never had one, really don't appeal. Jam and cheese can't go well together. . .

I was the same, then I got one freshly made straight out of the oven. It changed my (breakfast) life.

I know there's ham on them but that would mix fine with the jam, it's the cheese/jam combo I'm not feeling. . .

    Update: I’ve obesely purchased two

    Homemade ones:
    Pack of puff pastry
    Diced sliced ham
    Mix of grated cheeses

    Delicious

A bit of pesto if you’re feeling fancy

Update: The Jambons were puffed up just perfectly giving them an almost dome-like quality. The edges had a small char on them but the flakiness still remained, as did the overall shape retention. The journey inside was like a cosy hug, really warm and soft and reassuring that everything would be ok.

Pastry - 9/10 hard to fault.
    Cheese - 9/10 Again, remarkable.
Ham - 7.5/10 but this is probably because the other two were so on point.

    Overall Grade A-

When hungover they are a great "starter" for the main course of a breakfast roll or hot chicken roll so its a definite yes for me.

They are sheer perfection as Mary Berry would say. You can only get them at hot food counters, or make them yourself. Nowhere sells them ready to bake at home :(

I have actually made them, and its surprisingly easy, as long you have one special baking tool

Jam and cheese go very nicely together - bagel with cream cheese and jam, goat's cheese with onion jam - mmmmm

I understand the bakery in Rialto does incredibly good "fancy" jambons.
I've only read about them though, I haven't gotten around to trying them yet, but I read they were lovely.

I love a good jambon myself, as long as it's not dry.

    Absolutely.

Hot, cold, burnt to a crisp - cooked to perfection, frozen, uncooked - I don't care, if it's a Jambon - I will eat it.
