Anyone know of a Jaguar specialist in Cork ? There was a guy in Waterfall but AFAIK he's moved up the country.

It's a 2007 S Type 2.7 diesel, there's issues with aircon, fumes in the car I think, some parts already replaced but it hasn't fixed the problem.

Not my car, asking for someone else, any recommendations appreciated.

The only one I know of is Johnson & Perrott in Ardrostig Bishopstown. They’re a main Jaguar/Land Rover main dealer so labour/parts not cheap

I’d be looking at the exhaust manifold

The flexible hoses split between the turbo and the cat. There was a technical bulletin about this issue with part numbers for the repair kit (before the bulletin we had to replace the complete downpipe/cat...it was rather pricey).
But you can buy similar aftermarket kits now:

The OP's friend should replace both sides (it is a V6 diesel).
Any competent mechanic will able to do the job.

Thanks for the info, I'll pass it on.

Anyone else got a recommendation for a local Jaguar specialist apart from J&P ?

More likely to find a Land Rover specialist.

AFAIK ever since Ian Aherne packed it up 5 years ago, there isn't a Jag specialist in Cork.
Don O'Donovan is a Land Rover specialist, so he is familiar with the Jag drivetrains and electronics of that era, and he has the diag equipment too, but he is outside Clonakilty.
But as I said any reputable garage would able to deal with that fumes issue. That Jag isn't really a spaceship...

Seconded on Don O’Donovan. Good indie mechanic and should be familiar with this engine
