    Hi All

Has anyone claimed back their insurance (BIK) medical costs for last year?

I have filled in mine twice, each time I check there is no reference of I have claimed only to start over again.

This is over a week now and still nothing

Also i am unable to request a P21 or Form12

I think the deadline to submit December's employer returns is tomorrow, I was able to submit a Form 12 but they won't process until my employers completes their return. It might be that.

There was a problem with people confusing tax relief on medical insurance premiums paid by their employer during 2019 and claiming it under the wrong field in the Form 12. People were attempting to claim "BIK"which isn't something you claim. BIK is just a notional figure for the value of the benefits you are receiving from your employer instead of just getting the cash value in your wages. Normally the employer has already informed Revenue of the medical insurance premium figures and you are already getting tax relief on it. Depending on who is covered by your policy you may have to correct the record with Revenue if your employer has only reported you and there are other people on the policy. The relief is 1000 euro per adult and 500 by child at 20% covered.

What error are you encountering when you attempt to file a form 12 for 2019?

Thanks there is no error, it completes as usual and states I should hear back in 2/3 days. I receive no notification and there is nothing on revenue.ie to say its pending. If I go in again and fill it up its as if I am filling it for the first time

I received an email last week saying June should be completed today as they are awaiting information from my employer
