Cat Safe Garden

Has anyone got a cat safe garden to keep their cats away from the road? I've a large enough fairly open garden and it's 100 yards from a road that cars travel fast on.

I've been looking at getting in the protect a pet system from the UK as it looks the best but it's so expensive and needs professional install too.

Are there any other secure alternatives or solutions found? Has any one maybe got an Irish fencer to do their own DIY version?

We have a run from feelgooduk that we attached to the side of the house where our double doors are, just open the door and out the go. I'd always be panicking they'd find a way over a fence.

Sillymango has a CATIO that looks so fabulous - would love one, even though my cats are safe from the road as we live in a very rural/quiet area and they never seem to wander far from the house - have a look at old posts, and lots to google on CATIOs too

I built one last summer too, it's the best thing we ever did to the house, the cats use it daily. The video's a bit long but you can skip through it. Think it cost about €200 for the materials and a few bits from homebase.

Not much planning went into it, took a weekend to put up
