Hi everyone, I bought a house in 2013 and sold it in 2019, so I should fall into the grace period the government had going in 2013, of hold for 7 years (then reduced to 5) and pay no capital gains.

My question though is, do I have to file a tax return or anything?

    Yes, noting the reliefs claimed.

I should have done this last year (2019) Is there a way of submitting a late tax return.

You're not late filing the return if the disposal was in 2019.
The CGT Return ( CG1) for 2019 is due by 31/10/2020.

If you had CGT to pay then the payment dates for that fell 15/12/19 and 31/01/2020 depending on the disposal date, however as you appear not to have a liability you just file the return on or before the due date.
