Hi all

How much would agricultural land sell for these days?

I need a rough idea of price per acre. Just doing some research. I know location is a factor but in the general munster region.

In general if good land 7-12k/acres, depending on location, access and size of plot

A lot will depend on what the land is for. If it's for dairying and has good housing, fencing and roadways, it would be worth a few thousand more per acre than average. Just bare land needing drainage, reseeding, fencing and housing would be worth a few thousand less per acre than average. Dry land worth more than wet land.

Small plots of under 30 acres will go for more per acre than plots of 100+ acres because it brings the land within the reach of smaller farmers.

Land near villages and towns worth more than those miles away. Land with 2 or 3 neighbours looking to expand will go for more than land that doesn't have neighbours looking to expand.

Basically, how long is a piece of string?
