This is one thing that stands out on Irish racing

The put the meeting on a couple of days later

Why can't the UK do the same?

No doubt claim the logistics don't work

The race planning across the water is farcical.

    Bets remain valid for refixed?

They’ve cancelled it. The world is full of soft fannies these days.

    Nearly every firm voids.

It’s infinitely harder. It’s not overly common we have two meetings the same day bar Christmas and Easter weekend and a handful of weekends across the year, and a refixed meeting usually goes on an empty day in the calendar.

In the UK there are multiple race meetings every day, and no empty days (bar run up to Christmas), so I imagine to rebook jockeys, horse movement planning for boxes and stable staff, stewards, TV, it’s just logistically not worth it for a bunch of maidens and handicaps in uttoxeter or Warwick
