CD stuck in old car stereo

I scraped a car last year and beforehand I took out the car stereo as it was an upgrade an I though I might be able to use it on another car however that didn't work out.

I now realise that a missing CD is actually still inside it, I've had a few attempts at trying to get it out but no joy so without destroying it with another attempt does anyone have a suggestion for getting it out?

If it doesn't have a drawer you might be able to place something thin like a credit card in there so that it sits above it then try to wriggle it out.

If you put power on it it usually ejects first thing.

Not sure how I'd power it up, see attached for current state, I asked at a local garage but they couldn't help me.

Try a 9V battery on the power leads

Join the yellow and red wires together and connect to + terminal of battery

Connect black wire to - terminal.

Red and Black should do it, is the yellow a permanent live for holding settings?

You never know which way around they are in terms of what will make the unit power up and eject so I’d just do both.

If you pop off the face plate, is there a small hole that looks like the tip of a paperclip might fit in it? If so, stick the tip of a paperclip in it.

There's a little bar that's down in front of the CD so that's stopping it from popping out hence the need for power I reckon.

Pretty sure the front panel unclips, the reset button would be behind that. Don’t think you’ll need to reset it either way though.

If there was a "paperclip hole", those sometimes release all mechanisms mechanically without power.

Is it a particularly precious/unique CD?

What I'd like to know is what the "Zap" lever does?

It’s basically the same as a SCAN button where it plays the first few seconds of each song instead of you manually skipping. Harks back to MP3 files on USB sticks or iPods plugged in.
