I have Vodafone. Just wondering if the HG659 is the best model they have to offer. Thanks in advance.

Switched from Eir in December, have BB,home phone and TV.

It took almost a month to get TV up and running, they offered a 5 euro per month reduction.

Wireless on the HG 659 is not as good as the old Eir modem.

    Unimpressed.

I switched to voda before christmas .

Tried several times to request a gigabox rather than the hg659 and each time was told i could not get it.

Ordered anyway & when the package arrived it was the gigabox.

Had to contact tech support at one stage & when i told the rep it was the gigabox I had rather than the hg which was listed on my acc he told me everyone was being sent the gigabox nowadays.

You may get a gigabox if you sign up but I can't say definately

I got 659 2 weeks ago to replace a 658 and there's a massive wireless difference. I don't have any issues with rock solid performance and 5Ghz wireless on 659. On 658c 2.4Ghz was poor with bad speeds.

Thanks for the replies. I had the 659 and i couldn't get wifi anywhere in the house besides the room it was in. They said they would send out a gigabox after arguing with them. I only said i would renew my contract if i got one. So i signed and the 659 arrived again at my door. This one seems to work better at least. They are so hard to deal with.
