Not really sure where to post this. I hyperextended my knee over the weekend (landed on it and it didn't bend as it should). Shooting pain for a couple of minutes, iced it and it settled down after. Walking today it's still tender and weak, just wondering who it is that I should be visiting.

Suspect a physio is needed to strengthen it up but do I need a GP first to do a diagnosis?

Most private physiotherapists will see you and do an assessment.

They might refer you back to GP if they think the damage requires more than physio but you don't need a referral to see a physio.
