    I've narrowed my options to:

    (1) the Marantz MCR612  (60 x 2 (6 ohms)    and Monitor Audio Bronze 2   speakers.

    (2)  Denon RCD-M41  (Watts per CH 30 x 2 (6 ohms)  and Monitor Audio Bronze 2 speakers.

    (100 Watts)

The Denon seems to score highly for it's great sound but the Marantz MCR612 connectivity really appeals to me more. Wifi, internet radio, optical socket for the tv + a USB socket on the rear.

How does the Marantz compare to the Denon for sound quality?   I'm listening mostly to jazz, classical and easy listening music.

    My living-room measures  14' x 13'.  Any advice appreciated.

    Hi Comhra.

    Thanks for the post.

    Both are very good products.

In my opinion the MCR612 will sound much better than the DM41 and it is definitely a step up.
Don;t get me wrong the DM41 is good but as i mention the Marantz is a step up in sound quality and features.

I could offer the MCR612 and the bronze 2's for £664 delivered.
You would also require some speaker cable if you do not already have some.
I could throw in 2 or 3 meters free of charge also.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Hi Kenny,

Thanks for the prompt reply. Sounds like the  MCR612 is the one that fits the bill for me.

Indeed I already have a Marantz system I bought from you a few years back. PM 6004 integrated amp + ST 6003 tuner + 6004 CD player and it sounds great too.  I'll give RS a call in the afternoon.

    John.
