Roof repair on recently purchased house

Happy new year all. I purchased a 1981 built detached bungalow in October 2019 and noticed after about 6 weeks dampness setting in on the ceiling and wall (so much for my pre purchase engineers inspection!)
I’ve had 2 separate quotes both of €6500 to repair the 200 ridge tiles and replace the felt around the entire perimeter lower section of the roof.
Contractor 1 quoted for a installation of new dry hip system. Contractor 2 quoted for the traditional clean and repoint all the ridge tiles.
Could anyone recommend which system is best?
