I imagine he must do. Always find it hard to believe that so many people think the characters are real. Saw Geraldine Plunkett being interviewed on TV recently.
She used to play 'Mary' in 'Glenroe' many moons ago and now plays 'Rose' in 'Fair City'. Some people have come up to speak to her on the street, thinking she is Mary, back on TV, playing Rose!! :pac::pac:

A lovely lady by all accounts. Few facts, her late husband Peader Lamb played Fargo Boyle in Father Ted and her son Marcus Lamb is also an actor. Anyway, enough off topic.

For the first time, Tim's stupidity irked me. He actually believed Geoff locked her in by mistake??
    Wtf in his head ...marshmallows???!
Typical of abusers..When it looks like the victim is showing a bit of courage and is standing up for themselves they start the tears and pleas until the whole cycle starts again. Great episodes tonight.

Tim is just worried about getting his divorce and married to Sally

Are we meant to believe Geoff is truly remorseful and going to try change? Or is it all just an act?

I think Tim's mother will show up and reveal the monster Geoff truly is

I was waiting for the geoff to come out with "oh, its my chest, the doctor warned me about this" clutching his chest in the middle of sobbing. Thats the card i thought he were gonna play and the ' i havent got long to live, not with my health and dust/chest allergy' but no, it never happened !

People saying his nasty streak happening almost overnight, do you remember not long after going out with yasmin he was being a nasty little ****ehalk with brian and the growing of peas in the peace park there , can definitely see signs now of what a real git he was at an early stage.

Im thinking , geoffs 1st wife turns up . Yasmin sees her and says "how could you be so cruel to geoff, how could you bully him like that?" For the first wife to say "i dont know whst lirs he has been feeding you , but it was the other way around , geoff was abusing and gaslighting me and i had to get out, and if you have any sense you will do the same thing!"

He's feigning empathy because the net was closing in. He's a master manipulator.
The actor is truly fantastic. Far better even than Bill Ward who played Charlie Stubbs all those years ago. Was introduced as a light hearted character who if anything we thought would be gormless, but he has descended into an absolute pr1ck over the last few months. When the audience hates you, your doing a great job.

I read Geoffs bio and there was a slight clue that he had this nasty streak.

    https://coronationstreet.fandom.com/wiki/Geoff_Metcalfe

Audrey tuned into Geoff's radio show and was delighted when he told his listeners of an encounter with her a delightful woman on the Tony Wilson ward. Geoff complimented her spirit and was confident that she would be back on her feet in no time. Despite her suggestion for Patsy Cline, Geoff decided to dedicate a song that he believed summed up what he wanted to say to Audrey and Rita earlier. However, Audrey's delight was cut short as she was unamused when Geoff started playing "Shaddap You Face" by Joe Dolce

Yasmin in the box, that was such hard viewing. I thought the whole thing was over when "Tim, nice but dim" found her but it's just getting worse.

Eileen definitely sounds suspicious. Maybe having been in the dark to pat Phelan she is a bit more open minded to the concept of street angel, home demon.

    Tim:Well Yasmine likes a drink doesn't she
    Eileen: Everyone likes a drink.

The whole atoryline is a joke. Must have borrowed it from Friends (Pheobe when she heard Vegas weddings were real). Now Tim has a wife who never came near him for 20 years for anything but wouldnt divorce him.

Worst of all it looks like there might be another wedding on the horizon

    According to The Sun, Alya
digs into Geoff's past and discovers in an old news report that he abused a previous partner. Alya goes to Yasmeen about it but Geoff wriggles out of it so again this isn't ending anytime soon.

Fecks sake. I actually thought last night was going to be the end of it then Geoff turned on the waterworks and Yasmeen fell for it.

no, Tim simply cannot get back with Sally because we need the inevitable corrie storyline of Kevin calling around on the sofa and he and Sally going "what is wrong with us eh when it comes to relationships ?" and then leaning in for a snog with each other .... again!

Something tells me sleazy Ray will still try it on with alyah . possibly maybe Bethany ... yep he has whatserface blondie (forgot her name for the moment) who works as a mechanic ... but he is a sleazeball and he likes a challenge , he already said it ..... and seing as he is going out with your one from the garage thats not a challenge because he is already with her! - i dont think he is gonna stay with her and when they eventually split up there will be Ray going "it was only ever a bit of a game and nothing serious .. a bit of fun "

Quite a funny episode description on Virgin Media last night, when you pressed info on the 7.30pm episode, the first line was 'Geoff puts Yasmeen back in her box.' Wonder if they got any complaints about it!

did 'pull it geoff' still leave the camera in between the CD's there or did he ever remove it?

Was it just a live cam or did it record to an SD card or computer or something???

only this (if he left it there recording) could be his downfall capturing him pulling down the clasp and physically locking yasmin in the box ... and even better stitched up if it has audio as well ...

amazing how they fit a TV camera (or 2) and studio lighting all in that small box ... must be Magic!

would have been more believable if you hadn't kept seeing studio lights reflecting off of Yasmin's glasses whilst she was doing that panicky bit in the box ...

CCTV proof of him locking her in the box and the video on her mobile phone

Wonder if Kathy will send yasminne a video of Geoff performance and check her phone to make sure it saved on her galley and then see a video on her da e close up and will play it and all will come to light.

I thought last night's episodes were excellent. Liked seeing the slow realisation on Yasmeen's face and then she fell for Geoff's 'remorseful' whinging....or did she ??
We all think that Cathy/Tim/Alya will come to her rescue but I'd love to see her make him repent herself. She had the upper hand for a moment last night. She is, as he pointed out, smarter than he is. I'd love to see her manipulate him and take control. Outplay him, make him feel really guilty for what he has done and really mess with his head.

What really seems to irk him is public shaming/humiliation as in 'Jiggle it Geoff', that's why I think there has to be a public unmasking, in the Rovers where everyone sees what he is like.
I can't wait. The actor is playing a blinder. Did I catch him snapping something mean and nasty at Tim the other night?...must check back.

That's right, 'It's squib you bloody fool', though the mistake Tim made is a very common one. I suspect it's not the first time Tim was on the receiving end.
